Here is the Morning Joe crowd addressing Rick Santorum and white men and guns.

“You are telling Muslim Americans they all need to come out and talk about the tiny percentage of their community that has kind of, quite frankly, wreaked havoc. But yet, you look at the data of white men wreaking havoc on this country? Why aren’t white men coming forward? Why don’t you call on them to do that?,” Brzezinski continued.
Santorum responded by saying he was dealing with the problem of “gun violence.” Not by supporting any kind of gun safety legislation but by encouraging people to get married.

Brzezinski is right on the data. Since 9/11, fatalities from attacks by right-wing extremists — a group of almost exclusively white men — has accounted for 254 fatalities. Meanwhile, Islam-inspired attacks accounted for 50 fatalities over the same period. (This data was from June so did not include the recent attacks in Colorado and San Bernardino.)

I'm not really sure how I feel about this. Did they start hating the government before Obama was elected, or only noticed they were living in a police state after he was elected? What do people think of groups like Oathkeepers? When they first went to Ferguson, they claimed they were there to protect business owners and that bothered me - they were being vigilantes! But then I thought maybe that was just a cover story and they were really there to protect the protesters. They couldn't openly say they were providing security for the demonstrators without the police flipping out (which they did anyway). Confusing.

The age of the white male is over Now it is revenge time. Uncle Sam can score points publicly by trying to keep the focus on domestic terrorism, and it is not like there are not extremist groups aplenty involved in criminal acts fanning the flames. The big problem is the push to lump less evolved blue collar white males who are not domestic terrorists in with domestic terrorists. That is going to include any white male who is a second amendment supporter. Look at how much effort is put forth by the media, their friends in politics and the Twitterverse to portray any white male who is not staunchly prohibitionist in his views on guns as an inbred redneck who would be better off killed by the police for concealed carry.

No they'd were hating the government long before the election of Obama. We can go back to the 1960s civil rights era as a start for the modern history. Then the election of Clinton look at the Oklahoma City Bombing one year after the Waco fiasco. They militias were starting to grown during the Clinton years. They continued to grow at a slower pace under The Shrub/Cheney years but then blossomed under the Obama administration. They seem to be more active under Democratic administrations. Possibly because they don't agree with the policies and attitudes of Democrats. This was possibly really started back when the Republicans accepted the Southern Strategy.

Out of 182, 48 are considered to be 'right wing' or basically about 26%. 90.6% of all non-Jihadist attacks were white so that leave most of the remainder white and not considered 'right wing' which begs the question, what were the other ideologies?

Why are men always worried about their equipment? It is of little relevance. In particular for whites. Famous quote from someone who studied this question in great detail: "Tell me, schatzi, is it true what they say that you people are, ahem, gifted?" So am I understanding this correctly? If white extremists account for 254 deaths since 9/11 that means an average of 18 deaths per year. Even if you add deaths cause by Muslim extremists for a grand total of 304 deaths the average yearly death toll by any extremist is 21 per year -in a country that has about 11,000 intentional homicides per year.

Does that about sum it up?
