NEW YORK, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Martin Shkreli, the boyish pharmaceutical entrepreneur who caused a public uproar after he drastically raised the price of a life-saving prescription drug, was arrested on Thursday for engaging in what U.S. prosecutors said was a Ponzi-like scheme at his former hedge fund and a pharmaceutical company he previously headed.
Shkreli, who has become a lightning rod for growing outrage over soaring prescription drug prices, was arrested before dawn at the tony Murray Hill Tower Apartments in midtown Manhattan. Clad in a grey hoodie, the 32-year old could be seen being escorted by a slew of law enforcement, including FBI, into a car.

The only thing that would make this better is if he caught the parasite and is unable to get the drug he sold due to cost.

Too bad Blankfein, Dimon, and others aren't joining him. I guess this schmuck is the cause celebre for the moment so everyone forgets about the other thieves.

A hedge fund manager with no sense of ethics. That's a start. That he was so beyond the pale of this category to get his lame ass arrested.
Also an asshole who does not care who dies in his quest for money. How very free market.
All in all.....
I mean, how odious do you have to be as a financier to attract a criminal probe?

Maybe he will plead he was affected by Aynfluenza and the Free Market. He is not sorry but can't help but be a libertarian.
