I have this album and a couple of Winter Solstice albums that help me survive the dreaded holiday season. The title track of this album by the lesbian group Venus Envy, "I'll be a Home For Christmas". Presented by a drag performer.

Something whimsical...

Also, what I consider to be one of the best Christmas songs...

[youtu_be]http://youtu.be/S84RLgnz7Rs[/youtu_be]

.. And one of the worst (if not THE WORST) Christmas song from fellow bandmate Paul

I hate that song (Wonderful Christmas time). Once many years ago I worked at Toys R Us over the holidays (including Black Friday, the horror...the..horror) and that was part of the rotation that played all day every day. I had disliked it before but 10+ hours a day 7 days a week was pretty much the nail in the coffin.

I'm a sucker for crooner era christmas music, dunno what it is but I love it. My favorite would have to be Bing Crosby's version of The Christmas Song

I think it is Bing and "I'll be Home for Christmas" written in 1943 during WWII. I always think of the families and GIs/Sailors separated by war. I remember Christmases without myDad At home because of TDY somewhere in the world during the ColD War.

I've searched all the requisite places and reviewed upto page 15 of a Google search. I've concluded that you cannot make a truly cringe worthy Christmas song. Maybe ISIS can make one, but even the lowliest still has some Christmas spirit in it.

I don't know about that. "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer" is pretty cringe worthy...

"Here Comes Santa Claus" always makes me want to punch Christmas in the throat.
