I'm sure most of you have seen this over on The Firearm Blog, but I'll repost it here for those who haven't.

A US Marine was given a tour of the Swiss Guard's armory inside Vatican City. And it's a pretty neat place, a fascinating combination of modern and old weapons.

Of note, is that a German soldier surrendered to the guard in 1944, and they keep both his helmet and MP44 in pristine condition.

Do you know how hard it is to clean drool off an iPad? That was one luck Marine.

The Marine was probably envious of the pantaloons. We all know why the Navy keeps Marines around onboard ships.....
