I wholly approve!

I've long felt that hunting season should start with bare-hands, then spears (I think Atlatl would qualify), then bow, then muzzleloader, then rifle. While I seriously doubt anyone would actually take anything "Bare-hands", it would give me license to shut down every overly-long, incredibly boring hunting story I would ever have to listen to again:
Storyteller- "So I was tracking this cat all morning..."
Me- "Did you take it bare-hands?"
Storyteller- "No, I was hunting with..."
Me- "Anyone can walk in the woods and pull a trigger, let me know when you put a cougar in a full nelson!."
:sarcasm:

EDIT TO ADD>>> I enjoy hunting small game/varmint/foul/upland bird, and while I don't hunt big game(too crowded, too much work) I fully support it as the best means of population control. I just really really hate hearing the same hunting story "I went to the woods, my feet were cold, I killed an animal" over and over again like it's something new.

If you can catch them, you could always use your bare hands to strangle a couple squirrels to pass the time..
This is just my opinion, yours may vary and is no less valid.

HAHA! That would be a hunting story worth telling. My hunting stories pretty much begin and end with how many I got.
buddy- "Did you go hunting last weekend?"
Me- "Yup, got my limit"
buddy- "Nice".

Imagine a small game hunting story told big game style: "I knew of this hare from the last couple of years, everybody up there knows about him. I've found his scat, tracks that fade out and even caught a glimps of him while the sun was setting, but never could get the right angle for a clean shot, until now...." :roflmao:
