It's a bummer...

I have a couple of rifles I'd like to buy but! The but is AIM has notified me twice now that they have one of the rifles I want in stock and I'm not even close to having the funds for either one. :wall:

Funny thing is the first notice took over nine months. Now the second notice in less than two months. I may just wait until next year to put myself on the notification list again. The disappointment is too much. With any luck someone will clamp down on the importation and I can stop stressing! :roflmao:

I have the somewhat opposite dilemma. I saved up enough for something I wanted from Aim Surplus, only to go today to find out that it's sold out... *sigh*. Well, off to the email list for me.
The one that's in is a Vepr 7.62x54R 27.5". The other I can find easily just don't have what I need yet, CZ 455 Ultra Lux .22LR. Actually I'd like the CZ first, but wonder how long the Vepr will be available.

Yeah, I ended up having to walk away from a Zastava M77PS .308 I had on layaway due to unforseen bills. Now I have to decide if I want to go with a VEPR .308 or build an AR-308. I'll probably go with the AR-308 slow build.

That is a bummer! Did you lose any amount on the layaway?

Thankfully, it was spread out over six months. Had to choose between that and the Ruger Super Redhawk, so I paid 'too much' for the revolver in the end. ;)

Oh wow truely bummer! Not that the Ruger is bad just sad to pay more than necessary.

Eh, it was just MSRP. ;) Took the wind out of some negotiations I worked on the deal.

Still, this does put off my next Appleseed a few months.

Oh my list, sorry I should have mentioned that haha.

I was eyeing a M1903A3 with a rebuilt Gibbs barrel. It was in stock for the last month, but when I checked this morning... all sold out. It's probably available elsewhere, but Aim surplus had it available for $200 less than other places :(

mmmmmmm... CZ 455 Ultra Lux. Been looking at that one myself to learn rifle shooting with. Ordinarily I would say that is what credit is for. I'm in the same bind, and I must have looked at that thing about fifty times online and taken out my card at least six times before losing my nerve. I'd definitely go with that one first. ;)

I've made a promise to not buy stuff until I have the money saved. RichiesPNG has some for around $385 if your looking for a deal.

Jeez, that does seem like a good deal. Argh. I've been trying so hard to be responsible with money.... (and that is SUCH a buzzkill. ;)

Thank you for the link!
