I've lived in Chico, CA for 35 years. White folks began to settle in Chico in the early 1840's. Now a film maker has used a drone to show me places I see every day from a different perspective. But it's called "Fall Colors," so that's why I'm posting it. It's purdy. At the link below, scroll about half way to see the vid.

Re: Fall drone vid of my town
3In one shot where the drone is looking down a long, straight street, deep in the background dead center lies the world's smallest mountain range, the Sutter Buttes. It's pretty small, but right on the horizon, taking up maybe 1/12 of the horizontal horizon. It's a neat place.

I got to go in once with my school as part of a field trip about twenty years ago. Some animals and plants exist only there; it is overseen by the Middle Mountain Foundation. The State hopes to acquire it to add to the Sacramento National Wildlife refuge, but a neighboring non-profit wants to do the same. So, nothing will happen in the near future--which is good.

4Very cool. Chico has a charming feel about it to begin with, and the trees from that perspective are really pretty. I like.
