I know, it was due to your advice a earlier this year that I too bought the Taurus 738.. and its a great carry gun..
This is just my opinion, yours may vary and is no less valid.

Yeah, to be honest that "warranty issue" was due to a shitty powder scale... The .380 loads I was doing were quite a bit over standard pressure... Cracked the damn frame of my TCP.

That would do it.

I am not into pushing loads to the max. My dad is, but not me. I just like to get them to the point of shooting best for me. If that happens to be a maxed out load, then I will do it. but often its somewhere between the lightest and the hottest.

.380 I'm keeping well within pressure limit now that I have a beam scale, it's only .44 Magnum I'm pushing the limits on - but that's in a Ruger single action...

My EDC is a 740 or 709, neither on list and great carry guns. They do have three of my Mil Pro's (2-.40 & 1-9MM) returned in August on their dime. Last I heard about 7 days ago was they had received my FFL info and that someday in a galaxy far far away, I will eventually receive (3) new Mil G2's as replacements, shipping expense & FFL fee's on their dime. Fortunately, all my old Mil pro spare magazines will work in the newer G2 so that money isn't a waste. That won't be the case with 24/7's if I ever return them.

If I had a mulligan I would still have my Mil Pro's. I did test to get them to fail and could not. Same with three 24/7's I did not return. I could bypass safety (this is one reason for recall) on all if I pulled trigger back whilst setting the safety on which places the cam that prevents trigger from being pulled in front of trigger stop mechanism - I just don't know anyone dumb enough to pull the trigger while setting the safety. Banging pistols around, doing drop test from all angles on hard surface, and I could get none to release striker (another reason for recall).

I'm an admitted Taurus fan boy - lot's of bang for your buck. Have several of their PT92/99/100 in various configurations - fine shooting pistols with smooth action and low recoil.

I'm happy to not be part of the class. I've had several Taurus firearms, all of which have required extensive warranty work and most of which have had to go back to the factory several times for the same problem.

The only way I'd own a Taurus gun now is if I wanted a disposable range toy. I tried really hard to like their stuff, but everything just seemed incredibly failure-prone.
