Bear with me, haven't shot it yet but first impressions weren't great.
My boss just bought a CZ Scorpion Evo and brought it to work since he picked it up on the way and we're "that" kind of workplace a.k.a. not corporate [emoji23]
First of, I'm not a fan of pistols that are basically SBRs without a stock but whatever floats his boat. It also looks like a toy but it's solidly built - it's a CZ after all.
The trigger, though... That's THE worst trigger I've ever pulled, heavier than any of my DA guns (it's a SA, mind) and with more creep than a NAMBLA convention - well, maybe not but you get my point. More so than my Type 99 had before I cleaned out 70 years worth of sand... I've shot captured Chinese AK clones in Iraq that had better triggers so that's saying something.
I'm sure lube and use will improve it some but a brand new, quality firearm should not have a trigger like that.
Re: A CZ I'm disappointed with...
2I've been disappointed by lots of CZs. I also don't get the appeal of those chopped rifle "pistols". But trigger can't be as bad as a M1985 Nagant.

3I've shot a buddy's Nagant revolver. The trigger wasn't worse, let's put it like that...begemot wrote:I've been disappointed by lots of CZs. I also don't get the appeal of those chopped rifle "pistols". But trigger can't be as bad as a M1985 Nagant.

5I don't mind the Evo, FlyGuy's was nice. It's not one I'd buy myself but it's fun. And where's the love for Nagants! Mine works fine and the trigger works perfectly!:beer2:

Yikes. The Nagant revolver of yours was definitely still the worst trigger I've ever gotten to use. At least there's an excuse with the Nagant though, you're making it do a whole lot of work closing the cylinder gap. Sounds like it's time for a trigger job.

Yeah, it's hilariously horrible.shinzen wrote:Yikes. The Nagant revolver of yours was definitely still the worst trigger I've ever gotten to use. sikacz, you must have a popeye trigger finger if you can consistently squeeze through the DA on that thing.
Re: A CZ I'm disappointed with...
8I've done both DA and SA. Snap caps help. Since they are all old military or police weapons I suspect some are horrible due to wear. Mine is acceptable, but then I don't own a S&W revolver so my comparison point is different. As someone once told me "you learn to drive the tires you have".
Re: A CZ I'm disappointed with...
9They make a spring kit for then that makes them much nicer. Turns it into a 5-6 lb trigger.
