Post a separate intro in the Intro section and Florida members will see it. Few people see "intros" posted in this thread. This thread was started to encourage new forum members to join the LGC as a supporter.

Hello All,

New forum member, no income, so debating LGC membership at the moment.

Have a CCW, which I’ve had for a long time, starting when I was an LEO. Now a bit old and arthritic, but still hopeful I’ll never have to use my guns against a person. (I’d do “fingers crossed,” but it’s harder to shoot that way.)

Live in the Four Corners area which, of course, has a big gun culture. Not easy to find non-right wing folks who understand my political points of view. C’est la vie.

i've never even been near one. but the first time i saw one (live video from southeast asia in the '60s) i just knew it was... i don't know, as near perfect as a thing can be?
i've flown sailplanes, and maybe one day an ultralight. it kind of broke my heart when i read they're using them as aerial targets. yes, there's better now, but that's sort of like using you grandfather as a target stand.

i don't ordinarily envy others' life experience, but in this case i'll make an exception.

Even some F-16s have become target drones. I flew a couple of F-4s to Davis-Monthan to go into storage..some to become targets.
