2Who gives a gun to an 11 year old to take to school? I hope those parents have their 2A rights stripped from them. In what world does "Let's give our child a gun to take to school to defend himself with" make any sense? Argh!
All problems can be solved with a copious amount of high explosives.

"It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of non-violence to cover impotence. There is hope for a violent man to become non-violent. There is no such hope for the impotent." -Gandhi

5Jesus Camp...
Remember that movie?
They've had "Jesus Camp with Guns" for years. If you go to Talk2Action (http://www.talk2action.org/) and a few other places, you will find evidence. They tried to start one in south central Florida, but it was stopped. They're training little kids to take over and force Christianity on others - including the use of weapons (convert or kill).
Our greatest fear (my wife, my best friend, and some of my other friends) is that the "Good Christians" in this area will decide to rebel and there will be a knock at our door... they've already torched my electronics workshop because I'd written a letter to the editor denouncing creationism and supporting teaching evolution (my parents informed me that they also went to them and threatened them, and gave them the order to "Shut him up!" four days before I woke to a burning shop), poisoned some of our kitties (always a few days after I'd written a letter opposing their ideology), spraypainted racist graffiti in front of our mailbox (we're both American Indian by birth), stalked us, threatened us, and we've caught them (Bible-pounders) sneaking onto our property with oil-covered hands (they have this thing where they "anoint" your home or car and pray for misery and suffering until you "repent and return to Jesus"). I've now got a "No Trespassing" sign in our front yard because of them and the proselytizers we used to get. I've encountered walkaways who'd been encouraged to accept violence as a means of conversion, and some of their leaders have threatened and even called for armed rebellion because of President Obama's reelection.
The extreme right is always ranting about "enemies list" and internment camps, but it's well documented that one group has such a list at the national level already in Colorado Springs and people who have been researching this movement are also aware of local lists like that. If you read the person who is the thinker behind the worst two "flavors" - J. Rousas Rushdoony, he calls for "re-education" camps for educators who didn't teach from a "Biblical Perspective" (which would include me). Either you learn to do it their way, or you die.
As extreme as having a child bring a gun to school "for self-defense", I've heard of worse. We've already got kindergärtners in Florida preaching hellfire and brimstone at the other kids, and they're getting even more vitriolic and dangerous as they get older (they've made the news, and the churches in this area lifted the kid-preachers up as a "good thing"). I've read people who said they'd been taught as children to be ready to use violence to "Return America to her Christian roots".
Other good sources about this threat are the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (http://www.militaryreligiousfreedom.org/), Daily Kos, PoliticusUSA, and anything written by a friend of mine who uses the pseudonym "dogemperor" (because of death threats).
