It's interesting that Democrats who identify as Protestants are much more likely to own guns then the other Democratic religious subgroups and democrats as a whole. What's truly interesting is that "Protestant" Democrats are more likely to own guns then "Evangelical Christian" ones. I guess that by "protestant" they mean "mainline protestant", but the chart doesn't say. I wonder if mainline protestant Democrats are more likely to own guns because we are more likely to be rural and older, and evangelical democrats are relatively younger (30-50 rather than 50+) and suburban. Just a thought.
We don't need conspiracy theories in order to defend the second amendment. In fact they don't help.
