Not to make light of this, but I spent way more time in Casper than I would have preferred- that place is awful- There's a reason that Wyoming has one of the highest suicide rates in the country, and has for a very long time...

I heard about this on a Wyoming Public Radio news hourly update today as I was parking my truck to walk into a store to buy some ammunition on my way out to do some shooting. Crazy. A bow and arrow?!?!

I conveniently forgot about it till now. I think I'm going to turn off my internets now, because I'm getting nicely buzzed and I want to bury my head in the sand until my morning coffee comes around tomorrow.

A guy I went to school with had something like this happen in his life. His mom's boyfriend ambushed his dad in the back yard and killed him with a compound bow.

Very weird thing in suburban Chicagoland.

Update - shooter smuggled a bow and arrow into the school and shot his dad.

It's time for an all out ban on those assault compound-bows fer Chrissakes! I been sayin it for years now and no one listens! It's just as dangerous to allow people to have more than one arrow in the quiver at one time... Dangerous and completely unnecessary! If the responsible hunter misses that first shot with his one arrow, they can go and pick it up to use it again. -It's that simple! Allowing the carry of multiple arrows is just a recipe for walking time bombs in society!

Now that this story has hit the big times maybe our elected representatives will take this issue more seriously after they see all the folks that are sure to sign my petition at the shopping malls this season.

It's like the government's in the pockets of the bow'n arrow industry and not out to protect We the People! How messed up is that?
