I just got home last night from Brainerd which is just north of Little Falls. People are generally both puzzled and appalled by this crime. The fact that he waited a day with two bodies in the basement sounds to me like he was busy sanitizing the crime scene. A family member of the girl claims she had stolen prescription drugs in the past. He may have had a meth lab operation and the kids might have worked for him. Some times it seems the whole world is getting to weird to continue.

Why am I remembering the phrase "unreliable narrator" from English Lit class?

The crime scene analysis and autopsy reports will make interesting reading, especially compared with his statements.

Retired from the state department as a security officer who specialized in surveillance, his passport shows that he has been all over the world. Sounds like a spook to me. How well do they screen these people for these jobs? I find it hard to believe they hire nut cases for a job like that.

Psychotics are fairly easy to spot. Sociopaths (DSM Dx: "Antisocial Personality Disorder") not so much.

You know you are already dead and probably high kind of a natural response plus like had been said unreliable narrator.

Definitely more to this story. I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with a meth lab or pot growing operation. What ever happened, the guy took the time to clean up the scene.

Yeah- the fact that it was a day definitely indicates something more was going on there- wonder if they tested him for drug traces?
