Firearm sales up up and away

Sent to me from Richard Feldman:
Report from the NASGW (firearm wholesalers) show in Orlando, Florida

Wednesday Nov 7th I attended the NASGW show. These are the major firearm and ammunition corporations as well as the big commercial distributors.

This group of business people tend to be Republican (to say the least). They were quite disappointed in the election eve returns. They were also buoyed by a huge surge in orders which occurred immediately upon opening at 9AM.

The firearm industry (already ramped up to high production) will enjoy incredible sales for the next 6-8 months and beyond depending upon any policy initiative that affect gun imports, possession, or restrictions that the Obama Administration might seek, no matter how arcane or innocuous.

Several of the distributors told me they would need additional UPS eighteen wheelers to move the orders out of their warehouses.

I'm thinking there will be a whole lot of used guns for sale in a couple years. Maybe three.

:D Greetings everyone!

First post here on the LGC forum.

I recall the first President Obama Top Gun Salesman wave about four years ago.Boy oh boy, folks were frantic!
I watched one guy at a gun show,an obvious gun newbie, scanning a display. He pointed to a gun and,in an anxious voice, asked the representative
"what about that one, what is that!?" The salesman replied "Trap Shotgun". Newbie then asks "semi auto?". Salesman replies "no,single shot".
Newbie exclaims "I'm looking for semi auto!"

I was at the gun show looking for a then hard to find Ruger 380 LCP and had another handgun along with me for possible trade. The gun was in a case-it was obvious I had a handgun potentially for sale.Numerous times I was approached by some visiting the show; "private sale?".
Three younger guys were particularly persistant.Seems like they were more interested in a private sale than what was in the case. Finally,I told them that we could deal, but there would be a background check, which I would pay for or reduce the price of the gun so they could cover the cost.Well, they just backed off right quick.
The gun show exhibitors of course conducted business lawfully, incorporate background checks (Florida example)
That experience really hit home in the Gun Show "Loop hole" department. If I were to run for office no doubt I would likely receive less than A+ NRA rating thanks to concerns with any potential loop holes. One would think such concerns are beneficial for law abiding gun interests. And of course, they are.

By the way,at the time of the Ruger .380 search I saw at the show .380 ammo priced at $50 per box, thanks to a spike in interest in .380 and lagging ammo manufacturer production. The hard right winger at that display attributed it all to then incoming President Obama. And Acorn-which,this person claimed, was responsible for putting Obama in office.I asked this person why Obama took states in the west that have very low black populations. His answer- "I wondered about that".

Cheers!

The gun demand peak has already passed. The nuts have exhausted their meager savings (or maxed their credit cards) buying ARs and 1000's of rounds of ammo to defend themselves against the US military that will be deployed against them in order to force medical insurance and sharia law upon them. Now they are broke and wondering how much they can get for their never used AR (not much)

Ruger shares are already dropping back to 'normal' prices. There is a glut of AR parts. Christmas is coming and money is needed to buy real presents. Kids are back in school and need clothes.

Virtually every gun forum I've poked my head into(this and, uh, gunnit are the only ones I'm a member of) has at least one thread about Obama and the UN are signing a treaty that will take our guns.

Was in the local Wally World today talking with the sales clerk and he said that both ammo and guns have been flying off the shelves. So much so that their normal electronic method of ordering a restock has been suspended. He now has to call in directly and see if there are any available of any particular model and if not then don't bother to place an order just call back next week with no guarantee it will be there any time soon. There was nary a box of 22's to be had at all. He said 20 bricks came in Sunday night and they're all gone. Sad and pathetic. I'm sure gun and ammo companies and Wally world of coarse are loving every bit of this nonsense.

I bought my Henry Golden boy the day before the elections and it took 24 hours to run the back ground check.
The clerk at the store said the guy she talked to on the phone said it was really busy by them. I can only imagine how busy it was with the panic buying and start of dear hunting coming up and I'm sure with the elections coming up they are being extra careful and possibly shorthanded.

And lets not forget all the drone strikes. Obama will personally be riding on a drone to come and get their guns!!!!!!

No kidding, everyone knows Sandy was HAARP-induced, so that the few remaining God-fearing patriots on the east coast could be herded into the camps without anyone noticing. :surrender:
