Proposed bullet tax in Chicago

1
The Cook County Board President is submitting a budget proposal today that calls for a tax of a nickel and $25 per gun sold in the county, which encompasses Chicago. This will be a boon to gun dealers in neighboring counties like DuPage and Will counties as well as Wisconsin and Indiana. It doesn't seem likely to change much else.

Brilliant, yet another attempt to exclude the lower classes from being able to exercise their rights. Financial penalties are by their nature, unfair to the rest of us who are not of the rich ruling class. It always seems to sound like a good idea to those who are affluent, and just shows how out of touch those who propose them are with the majority of the citizenry... Read: potential voters.
