According to new poll by the Public Religion Research Institute – 55% of Tea Partiers think its ok to bring loaded guns to church. Only 38% of Republicans and 9% of Democrats agreed.

Personally, I'm fine with concealed firearms in churches. I feel far more strongly about guns in bars and other places where people drink.

I'm with the 91%. I would never expose my guns to their church.

I don't have an opinion.
Don't walk out of your church and tell me how to live, I won't walk in to your church and tell you how.

I tell church folks that if I'm in the sanctuary armed, I'm not the person they have to be concerned with. If they still object, I ask them if I should wait until either they have escaped or been shot before I try to return fire from an active shooter.

It would be embarrassing to be in church listening to the minister carry on and then there is silence as someone interrupts the service with a metal on stone clatter and you look and see what looks like a 1911 "skitteling" across the floor and you have a suspicious feeling that it looks like yours........

The solution for that is carry an LCP in one of Irishman's wallets. I was squirming in a chair until it slid out of the back pocket of my jeans, and it hit the floor right in front of someone at work (I normally don't carry at work, I was in for a few minutes on a Saturday). He told me I dropped my wallet, I thanked him re-pocketed it and we continued with our task.
