Louis, according to the arrest report, initially firing the gun and denied being with his brother at the apartment complex, saying he was on the Strip until 4 a.m. He later changed his story and said he was across the street from Twain Avenue when he had fired the gun.

Louis later changed his story again said his brother had told him someone had pointed a gun at him, the report added. Louis said he had gone to the scene with his brother and another man named “Hood.” They fired the gun into the air in order to intimidate people into leaving him and his brother alone, Louis said. Louis did not give any descriptions of “Hood.”

Soon afterward, Louis changed his story again and said he did not shoot and challenged detectives to produce an eyewitness to the shooting.

Louis is in the Clark County Detention Center without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
