The first cop on the scene shot him in the stomach and then the gunman turned his pistol on himself. The cop was shot 8 times and is already up and walking around at the hospital.
The bullet proof vset worked.
Blunt trauma's still gotta suck, bad.

They didn't even try to intervene even after he recently bought the handgun he used in this incident. Why didn't they intervene? And if not, why track? WTF- God Damn It!
Tracked, by the SPLC:
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a nonprofit civil rights organization dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry, and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of society.

Founded by civil rights lawyers Morris Dees and Joseph Levin Jr. in 1971, the SPLC is internationally known for tracking and exposing the activities of hate groups.
Remember, in april ?2009? the dept of homeland security released that assessment of the risk of homegrown terror attacks from the right wing, noting that returning/discharged veterans were at higher risk of going extremist, and the right wing noise machine freaked out?

After that, DHS withdrew that assessment and - at least publicly - cut funding and personnel for tracking homegrown nutsacks. Whether they really did cut it completely or had a skeleton crew keeping the pilot light going, who knows.
DHS and FBI have pikced up tracking these guys slowly since at least the beginning of this year. The DHS training on IED's I was at in the spring was pretty heavy on the source of threats not being all brown skinned muslims. Soveriegn Citizens, Neo-Nazis, etc

They just need to be better at it.

Put a Liberal Gun Club tiny logo over the left breast, and I'll buy one.
