Good point. That thread was in the Obama section of the election forum. A handful of Obama supporters and a few wingnuts are active in that section. The funny thing is, the first sticky thread written by the owner of the site says:
This forum is not here so people can bash Obama any more that the others are for bashing those candidates.

It is for those who wish to discuss or advocate his re-election.
If you have nothing to add along those lines do not post.

Of course, this rule is never enforced as most of the threads started in the section are, indeed, Obama bashing threads.

The Off-Topic section is where it gets bad because there are a few liberals who will defend their positions, so the crazies come out in full force crying about birth certificates, transcripts, credit reports etc. Then, when someone posts a well-reasoned argument, it gets heated, and the mods start accusing the liberals of trolling. Posts get deleted and members are banned. The censorship is one of the reasons I came here.

Yeah, looks like there are a few more counter arguments going on that board than you usually see. The original post would be Casper Milquetoast quality on a WND site.

Just an untested observation, but it sure seems like a lot of confusion in conservative minds over the difference between form and substance. I wonder if it's something inherent in their thinking style.
