Sadness. I loved the show when I was a kid, my mom really enjoys it now in re-runs.

He was a life long Liberal. At this point we can't afford to lose any.

First Aunt Bea, then Goober, and now Andy. So sad. He raised a heckuva son in Opie.

Being a North Carolinian and a liberal, I have a special place in my heart for Andy. Did any of you guys ever figure out that there was never any black people in Mayberry? Not one single black person was ever on the Andy Griffith show.
Andy lamented on that but the producers, in the 60's, did not want to go there. You young'uns may not fully understand the 60s. That's because nobody understands the 60s. History will not portray the 60s accurately.

I remember when he and Opie came out publicly for Obama. It gladdened my heart.
