Tent zipper repair video

Woo! I need to try this. Just thought I'd share. I usually don't use a tent, but when I do, I need it bad due to skeeters, rain, camping with others in the rain, or just too much shit in the back of my truck that I don't want to get wet when I sacrifice sleeping under the stars for sleeping under the topper. I've had an REI Half Dome Plus for almost ten years, and through many seasons in the Nevada desert the zippers are eff'd but the rest of it is fine. I've always tried chapstick or vaseline on the teeth, but that just collects more dirt and screws it up more. I never thought of a vise-grip to manipulate the slider. I think I'll try this in the next couple of days.
