No. Not me. In fact, I cringe when I read stuff like that. Thats like Taliban-type thinking there.
at times that sort of thinking is well grounded in logic and reason for for actual harm done. It's not correct for conservatives at large, they are just the mislead and confused children of the world, CEO's and the corporate elite on the other hand by definition are thieves.

It must be nice to be so sheltered that you can cut out interaction with "conservatives". A conservative in California is a democrat in Texas. A republican in Washington is a democrat in Montanna. It is all relative. That being said some people do raise my hackles, usually those people that stereotype, and group people together without any real basis
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. - Thomas Jefferson

:wtf: WTF Montana? I mean a democrat in washington is a republican anywhere else.

I won't say I HATE Conservatives; however, I will say that, in general, I hold a very deep dislike for them. In fact, when I'm very honest with myself regarding my deeply felt feelings about Conservatives, I have to admit that if a plague came along and wiped out 90% of them, I'm pretty sure I would consider that to be a good thing.

There are times i marvel at the fact that we all have two eyes(actually 3 or maybe even 4 depending on consciousness) and roughly the same number of fingers and toes.

Expecting all Americans to think like me seems a bit demanding.

Admittedly, i also marvel at how one of the aforementioned eyes provides accumen for so many.

I don't hate Conservatives. Most of the time its easy to stir their pot. Seriously, some of the best political discussions I've had were defending my beliefs to a group of Conservatives; nine times out of ten they at least get a better understanding of where I am coming from and why I believe as I do. The tenth time, well, I run like hell.

I don't hate conservatives. Many of my friends are conservatives. However, I do not like the Republican party since being a solid present day Republican seems to have nothing to do with being a solid conservative.

Willful ignorance bothers me much more than political alignment.

it's not demanding to expect humans to exercise sound logic. Conservatism does not exercise this logical ability of the human brain. And that is what separates us fromm the animales

This is how I see it too. People seem to think that both sides are equal (libs and conservatives) in that they are just two groups with different beliefs, but that is not the case in many circumstances. I would say that might be true for a group like libertarians, but not the modern day conservatives that I encounter. Being a hypocrite and anti-thought is not a stance I choose to legitimize. The things they claim to believe in, like small government and pro-life, is pure hypocrisy. I do agree however that spewing hate at them does no good. Education is the only way to make sure the next generations in the red states are more tolerant and are more analytical.

I don't hate true conservatives, but there are damn few of them about these days. The pseudo-cons that control the GOP and the intellectually lazy drones that think what ever Rush and Rove tell them to make me want to puke, though.

And then there's the ones that let preachers tell them how to vote.

Yes it is. Have you seen humans? Have you heard them talk?
Good point, but if we as a species aren't capable of it, biological life is fucked. Especially considering we as a species for the first time in all of existence have as a species the ability to wipe out all biological life on the planet. the ability to reason is not one we can simply leave as a choice, at least for those in power. Great power comes with great responsibility.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technocracy
Technocracy is a form of government in which experts in technology would be in control of all decision making. Scientists, engineers, and technologists who have knowledge, expertise, or skills, would compose the governing body, instead of politicians, businessmen, and economists.[1] In a technocracy, decision makers would be selected based upon how knowledgeable and skillful they are in their field.
This combined with an electoral recall every few years is a suitable starting point for a replacement for our current form of democracy. Physicists, and mathematicians should control the world not CEO's and lawyers.

I try to be optimistic where my fellow man is concerned - I consider myself to be a Humanist. But you do have a point I have to say. When I hear some of the crackpot stuff that comes out of the mouths of people around me I have to wonder what planet they're from. Incidentally, many of those crackpots are Republicans. :D

I'm not sure the majority of them have an excuse, we are the species, after all, that landed on the fucking moon, invented speech, defined logic. We evolved empathy because it helped us survive, because we as humans are more than the sum of our abilities when we work together. so the level of conservative ignorance is inexcusable. I mean they are humans aren't they, or are they.... I can't say monkies because they even have logical reasoning abilities..... amphibians?
