If you're so worried about being outspent...

...Maybe you should have tried to do something about it, like campaign reform.
Got this from the Obama chain email thing they send out, normally I ignore them but this just gets next to me.
Friend --
If we're drastically outspent in this election, there's a very good chance we will lose to Mitt Romney.
This is a distinct possibility. The financial landscape in this race has changed over the last few weeks.
What concerns me is the Obama supporters I've encountered who don't understand that this is what we're facing.
The fundraising deadline this week is a test: Are we going to allow the other side to dominate us, or are we going to prove that elections are decided by everyday Americans pitching in what they can?

unfortunately gendo, they ain't listening. talking back to them is like howling at the moon and only half as effective.
I think the only response that anyone over there might notice is when one asks to be removed from their mailing list...but even then it will take huge numbers before it rises above the radar threshold.
but howl away....sometimes it makes you feel better.

Exactly. They keep calling asking for money. I tell them that in the spirit of compromise I wouldn't give them a single cent for their reelection campaign but I'll probably still give them my vote. They don't seem thrilled about that. Oh well. No one to blame but themselves.
I'm going to trust in the American collective to remember what it was like during the last Republican administration. America can't be that dumb right? Right?

problem is the current administration just continued everything that was bad about the last, and even expanded upon them. Things are going to get worse, the dems just provide the specter of a brake.

I haven't been called back since I told an Obama phonebanker that if he wants my support, monetary or in vote form, he'll have to free Bradley Manning.

Eh, they are just mining the gold wherever they can. In the case of private donations, fear makes the best shovel.
No doubt Mitt has preachers ready to man the pulpits, telling their flocks that if they don't give their life savings to his campaign, god is going to send a tornado to their town.
