Congrats. I saw in another thread you are going to NMMI, why not VMI?

A year or two at the New Mexico Military Institute (as my profile already indicates), a Military Junior College in Roswell, then hopefully the United States Naval Academy. All the way down the line, I want to be a professor at a university.

Whitey, if I don't get into USNA, VMI is my top choice. I have a few friends there. NMMI is because my high school GPA kinda sucks (I attended Massanutten Military Academy for a summer and loved and thrived in the structure, that's why I want to go to this type of school) and USNA doesn't want GPA's that kinda suck.

Probably astronomy or computer science. Maybe both.

The author of Guns, Germs, and Steel is a physiology professor in addition to being a history professor.

If you are looking for mobility (i.e. the capability to work just about anywhere) computer science is the best bet of the two, but I always tell my students to pursue what they are passionate about.

I thought I was on my way to a military career right out of high school. Realized it wasn't for me.

Of course the first Gulf War showed me a lot of things, but primarily I seem to have issues with authority.

Alright. Sleep-drunk me was even less creative in that than usual.

I did get to bring home two knives. The best part of that is that I got to have those knives IN SCHOOL!
