It caught us in the Lakewood area, where it hit the hardest.

We are safe. The car, a mess.

Messed up the car horribly. Expecting the worse (declared totalled).

Hope area residents are OK. Simmer Down?

Had some quarter sized hail here in Mesquite I had no idea it was that bad until I got home at around 10:00 several friends with dinged up cars in Lakewood and East Dallas.

Sorry to hear that.
Sorry to hear that the car got damaged, plus you are probably getting a new roof.
But everybody is safe, and that's what's most important.
Here is a picture of the storm heading your way, forming over Joe Pool lake.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

Thanks Awake. Zapp, you are lucky. Good for you down there.

It was complete chaos in the Lakewood area as you can imagine.

Right now rental car dealers are overwhelmed, dealerships, body shops, towing services...

Lights off in some area until about 5am, others, much like you, minimal rain/hail, if any.

Al in all I think we are taking it pretty well...

DAMN IT!!!!!!

I had clients when the storm came through and it was so loud we couldn't hear each other. I could see fist-sized hail hitting outside. I parked under a tree and not a ding. No evidence of hail at home. Who's a lucky boy?

Here's another take of it, about the time, or at the time it hit Lakewood.

Wow, glad you guys are alright! Property damage sucks, but stuff can be replaced, however there is a shortage of good people these days, and those can't easily be replaced.

Good thing I dragged ass coming down from Colorado, all I dealt with the whole way down was high winds.

I haven't heard of a touch down a day after. I think we would have known by now if it did.

So they finally declared the car as a total loss.

The second glass of Mr. Walker's amber restorative, Black Label, splash of soda, no ice...is just kicking in. And helping, if just a bit.
