Better if both of you could come. Missouri sounds like a good place for a meeting. I was born there.

It seems that the 2010 experience in IL has soured some on using the Middle States.

There are some nice outdoor ranges here as well as good indoor ranges. Not all of them require NRA memberships, just the overly expensive ones.

Yeah, with luck the 2013 meeting will be our family vacation next year.

We've dreamed and talked about going to Portland for about 7 years
and now our dog may be the only thing keeping us from going.

If the meetings are going to be in August then Northern States will be the most pleasant.
Missouri in August. Sweet! If you're a mosquito.

"Missourah, our summers are less deadly than Texas" doesn't really cut it.

We're dog friendly...in fact, I believe your dog would be welcome at the establishment where we will hold our Saturday Evening Event.

damn you fucing yankees, why does everyone have to be in the north? how bout we do something in the south, like a border of La/TX/OAk that way you can come from either direction, Portland is way too far, and I wouldnt got thru the damn TSA if you paid me. I'd make my own, if we had more members around here. Even Gerogia would be fine for me, but damn Portland.... you mofos got some money for airplane tickets...

south carolina. Goodie bags included bq sauce, pork rinds, moon pies and pig brains in milk gravy. The deep south was well represented. :)

We bought one the other day. I think they can pack more sugar into the thing than it actually weighs.

We couldn't finish it.

I prefer the original - which is the 'single decker', and only in banana. Dennis will understand.

Its a treat round here. Less of a treat and more of a normal diet is Dr Pepper and peanuts. Example: "We was so poor we barely had enough for a Dr Pepper and the peanuts to put in it."

I had no idea moon pie was southern thing, I thought everyone in the US eats them, as well as white beans and rice, rice and gravy, and peach cobbler,..

ha.... u need to get out more. there is still a lot of regional variation in the country, thank god. i love visiting places and trying new things - if we were all the same it would be boring. btw, growing up rice and gravy, or tomatoes and rice, or okra and tomatoes over rice was a staple at nearly every supper. since i married the daughter of furriners i don't get much southern food unless i cook it or we go out.
