Finally made it out to the range yesterday with the new BG 2.0. Only time for ten rounds to make sure it went bang, but what a noticeable difference the low bore axis/high beavertail makes. Very much more shootable than the LCP II. Now to find a holster.

For pocket (or quick and dirty appendix) carry I'll probably just stick with the one that came with the LCP II. For IWB I've got a deSantis Sof Tuck, also for the LCP II, that does ok, but I'm thinking about kydex for better retention.

As it so happens—as it was supposed to happen, as Bokonon reminds us—cosmic forces on the equinoxes oppose themselves in such a way as to allow an egg to balance on its end, so goes the tale told by old wives to other old wives. Here, we find this season’s egg balancing on the stock of a 1936 Chinese Hangyang Model 88 Mauser. Its caliber is standard 8x57 Mauser, and the trigger is very, very smooth. The barrel is pretty toasted, and I have not shot it. It was built in the original factory in Hangyang before the arsenal was dismantled and moved to avoid the Japanese in 1938. I do not know what the red character means. I was told it probably to the Company of soldiers to which it was issued. If someone can read Chinese, perhaps you can help with its translation. The egg is from the chickens next door.

Got a new side charger and a green laser/flashlight ion the ole SFAR 308. And thats about it. I don't want too many accessories on it.

Lucky Gunner posted a nice Ruger Mark vid the other day, reminding me that I hadn't shot mine lately. Remedied that this weekend, plus some more rounds through the Bodyguard 2.0, which shoots great. The good groups are from 7 m. Circled stuff is 15 m with the .22. Might bump the Mark IV sight to the left a smidge. And maybe down.

LGS had a blem 3" barrel Ruger LCRx in 327 at a good price. I waited a few days in hopes someone else would snap it up, but no such luck. :/

Well, I have an old model .45 Vaquero, which is on the same frame. I am lucky that the fixed sights on mine are dead on at 45 feet with a standard load of about 950fps with a 250gr LRNFP. It's my favorite handgun.

I picked one up a few days ago to circulate with my lc9s pro. The bodyguard 2.0 is almost like an optical illusion. It looks bigger than it is. My lc9s dwarfs it but set them a few feet apart, and the bodyguard looks big. The smith also fits better in my hand, similar to my full sized m&p9. Great gun.
