Four brothers with different mothers. All 7.65/32acp. The first two single action Italian; Beretta "New Puma" and Bernardelli (this model never had a formal name or model number and was simply called Bernardelli 7.65 Automatic (or 9mm Corto depending on the chambering). The second pair are DA/SA, the Walther PP over the CZ viz50.

Nowhere near vintage but rid hard and put up wet to dry in the past. Made in 1968. Accurate and in 32acp easy to return to POI for followup shots but DA trigger pull is about 3 stone

This is from another forum, 2012 post.
Star Gauge was Mfg'd in Spain by Victor Aramberri and imported and distributed in 1971-74 By Interarms of Alexandria Virginia. Aramberri and Interarms are both out of business. Most were of good quality and sell for much more than you paid, I have seen them online from $275 in fair condition to as much as $700, that of course is for their high end double guns with elaborate engraving and in pristine condition..You got a good deal and most were good shooters.

One note: Most double guns of that age and manufactured across the pond usually had thin barrels at the muzzle so I would not recommend using steel shot of any sorts as it can swage the choke out and cause a ring to form on the outside of the barrels where the chokes start and can also cause the solder joints holding the barrels & ribs together to split.

Star was better known for their handguns.

No real story. In the early 1970s I was shotgun-less after getting married and IIRC the Star Gauge was on sale at a price I could afford and was a 20 gauge which at the time was the shell for ducks on the Potomac. I think it was $80 some dollars but that included a couple boxes of shells. Then life took hold and we were moving almost every year as I finished designing a cable system in one town and it was on to the next franchise. Plus it was the start of consolidation in the industry so a couple of the companies I worked for got bought out. We lived in (somewhat travel order) Maryland, North Carolina, Arizona, California then back east to Georgia and South Carolina with extended stays in Idaho and Colorado, Puerto Rico and likely somewhere I forgot to mention.

About a half century or more passed and I got a chance to give Trap & Skeet a try and it quickly became evident why the mother ducks used to bring all the duckling to whichever blind I was in for education and entertainment and why the doves and quail and grouse and partridge all followed behind me to feed on whatever I stirred up.

It still a beauty though and if we had woods I'd love to take it for another walk in the forest to provide education and entertainment for a new generation of squirrels.

Been changing to night sights on several guns. The three latest are a 9mm Walther PPS M2 and a Smith & Wesson Military & Police Shield 45acp 2.0 and a Smith & Wesson/Walther SP99.

The S&W SP99 was a collaboration between S&W and Walther to import and market Walther guns. In this case the frame was made by Walther in Germany and the slide and slide internals made by S&W in the US. The pistol itself is unusual since it is a D/SA striker with a decocker. The night sights are from Trijicon and were the easiest sight installation I've experienced. The front sight is a Glock-like insert with bolt while the rear slide in an seat is a spring loaded retainer.

For the Shield 2.0 45 I chose the Ameriglo dot ob dot format. I always found the old Sig Popsicle sight really easy to aquire and use under stress and this is very similar.

The Walther PPS is wearing a set of Truglo Tritium/Fiber optic sights to give it the best across a wide spectrum of indoor/outdoor/ bright light/dark night SD conditions.

I was worried that I would hate myself for buying a wheel gun this small, but by golly, I like this thing.
Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

The only thing cooler than a 32 wheel gun is a man who's secure enough in his masculinity to carry a Lavender Lady!!!
