I don't know how you all can even be spewing this nonsense about "weird false-flag plans", "setup deal to give more sympathy and support", and such. He's already been shot at and hit, so the concern about it happening again definitely is valid. Were it, say, Biden or Harris, you wouldn't be taking this same attitude.
Seriously, there's something wrong in the head with anyone who laughs this kind of thing off, whether we like Trump or not.
I'm not laughing at all - I find it interesting that many have dismissed Trump's' followers as ignorant deplorables with no guts and not enough sense to mount any real real issues for America if they don't get what they want. Yet haven't both of the attempts (one attempt and one likely) been from Trump followers/sycophants who have become disillusioned? This is not good and I don't think any of our candidates at this point are safe.
The Hate and disinformation have gone too far when people start trying to kill candidates. Not a good scenario. And with the polls neck in neck I'd hate to be any SS Agents at this point.
VooDoo
The first one, in the PA shooting, was a donor to ActBlue, a Democrat Party "get-out-the-vote" organization. He later, apparently, registered as a Republican. So it's unclear whether he was a Trump follower or not. I tend to suspect that he was a Democrat supporter because he gave money to ActBlue, but again, I cannot be sure of his politics.
The second one, we know his name, but I haven't seen anything yet indicating that he either supports Trump or is against him. Given that it looks like he tried to take some shots at Trump, I'd guess that he's against Trump. But again, that's only a guess based on the act trying to shoot at Trump. Generally, when you shoot at someone, you're not exactly one of that person's supporters. :-)
It really is a shame that it's come to this, shooting at Presidential candidates. I've made it clear on several occasions, rather emphatically, that I do not want VP Kamala Harris to be our President, and I've indicated specifically why. But I would condemn any violence against her, or against Pres. Biden, in terms just as strong as I condemn any violence against Pres. Trump or any other political candidate--really, anyone else at all unless it is a life-threatening self-defense situation.
