2Since 2005, if you purchase a gun in the United States, you're going to be given a free gun lock. It's a federal law.

3The New Hampshire House of Representatives has 400 members and Republicans hold the majority. A bill sponsored by 4 Democrats with no bi-partisan support probably didn't have a big chance of passing the state House.
