An industry trade group estimates nearly 5 1/2 million Americans bought guns for the first time last year. And Black Americans represent the fastest-growing group of gun owners. To understand what might be driving gun sales, we're going to talk with some new gun owners every now and then.
Interesting, hope they continue the series.

Easy, these are weird times, dangerous times and a LOT of weirdo, dangerous people 'out there' with lotsa guns, most obtained legally....

Now, if there was only a way for the 'good guys' that bought guns for the first time, to actually practice with them, get good with them, 'train' with them and not just put them in a drawer..and they also 'might' learn that shooting sports is FUN...

Of course, a lot of these new owners live in built-up areas where finding a place to shoot becomes a little more challenging, especially long guns.
HA..for most of the guns I shoot 'for fun', I opt for 10R or less, magazines...cuz a 15+ round mag, uses up ammo too fast. But all these 'new gun owners', have bought handguns, almost exclusively. And vast majority know nothing about them, care nothing about the 2A..They just know with no felonies, a driver's license and CC#, in about 15 minutes, they'll own a gun...

LOL, especially when they discover how fun 22lr pistols are to shoot, they'll want to buy more.

Damn, those .22lr revolvers! Gateway gunz don’t cha know.

.22’s are also like jellybeans: Can’t help but grab a handful of them (killer jellybeans)! It’s not right for anyone to have so much fun when there is still suffering in the world.
