New member here from the Cleveland area. I've been interested in guns since I graduated college and could afford to shoot them finally.
Used to be a conservative libertarian, now I am a socialist. Over the course of 4 years of the Trump administration I now see more than ever the importance of owning and knowing how to use firearms for self-defense. I found out about the LGC from the subreddit r/liberalgunowners. It's nice to know there is a place to discuss firearms and shooting without the right-wing BS.
I have amassed 23 guns over the course of 7 years. My go-to AR is a Daniel Defense DDM4v7 upper on a Spike's lower. It's essentially a DDM4v7 rifle but made from non-DD parts except for the upper. I have 5 22s with threaded barrels. I have a Silencerco Switchback 22 that I'm waiting for approval on to try with them. I can go into what else I own if anyone is interested.
Also, in case anyone is interested, I run a small link aggregator site at midwest.social that is for, but not limited to, leftists in the Midwest USA. The software it's built with is called Lemmy, which is an open-source, self-hostable, federated link aggregator. Essentially open-source reddit. Feel free to sign up!
Anyways, happy to be here!

2 from the other side of that river named after your state of residence (I live in Kentucky)!
"Pics or the guns don't exist," or something like that.
My collection is smaller than yours, at something like eight pistols (over-represented by that company from Czech Republic, but including a SigSauer and a Shield), and three rifles (a couple of AR-platforms and a lever-action .22LR for plinking fun).
Sit yerself down and enjoy the conversation!

Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

3Welcome from SW Ohio! There’s only a few of us on here living in Ohio.
I guess I’m too much of a Gen Xer to understand what you are talking about. Reddit, yes discord, no. My kids use discord though …

In a bit under two years, I think there are about a dozen in my safe. I sold one a while back, though...

I'm about halfway between you and Invictvs, in the vicinity of Columbus. There are more LGS Ohio members, but we're about the only ones active on the forum.
I appreciate that take-down backpacker stock on the 10/22. In theory, Ruger has the PCC set up for one now, but I don't see it for sale anywhere. Personally, I couldn't resist the Mannlicher stock. Looking at putting a scope on it, but I really should put the time in mastering buckhorns. Maybe I'll put one on the Mark IV instead.

12Another Howdy From Houston! I was born, and for a short spell, raised on the North Coast; Vermilion that is. I can appreciate the numbers in your collection. Also, shooting with a suppressor does make for a more pleasant range day. One of my happiest sounds is the lack of sound of a 45acp or a 300 AAC suppressed.

I have a Mannlicher myself but she's a Swede in '06.
