The SPF Webleys had a cross bolt safety installed as well as the lanyard loop on the butt.

Not perfect, but for $25 it was worth it to be rid of the 'thumb rest'.

I Have Seen The Enemy And It Is Us
Re: Gun Porn Thread
3413I really regret not buying one of those when they were cheap. Yours looks like it came out of the factory yesterday. Despite all the flaws us westerners find in that revolver, it's really an amazingly innovative and clever design...which is why I really regret not getting one. I may end up getting one at some point.sikacz wrote: Thu Dec 23, 2021 3:40 pm Love this old comrade!

3414Have not checked the single action pull on it, but it’s not bad. In Russia and in the Soviet period there were target pistol versions. It’s not bad to hold or aim as is. If you need more firepower, carry two or three! LoL.FrontSight wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 12:42 pmI really regret not buying one of those when they were cheap. I don’t think mine saw much use after the war. It was probably arsenal refurbished and put away until it was sold to some USA importers.

3416My wife saw the Officer Model Target in a gun case among a bunch of cheaper guns. She says, I like that one! LoL.FrontSight wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 12:50 pm I took a recent photo of my favorite .22 handguns.

3419It's pre1892, since the cylinder doesn't index unless cocked. 1892 was the year they fixed that.sikacz wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 1:03 pmNice piece! Can see the family resemblance. One might have hoped that particular detail would have been in from the start, but apparently not.... I have a precious box of 7.5 x 22 Swedish sitting in the ammo safe, and I think replacements will be hard to find for a while as Reed's gets (hopefully) back up to speed sometime.

Re: Gun Porn Thread
3421Sadly, that is something I don't do ,and probably never will. But it does require a special heeled boolit, and a cut down 32-20 case. For the number of times I shoot this in a decade, I just rely on Reed's making up a box of 50 every couple of years.sikacz wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 2:40 pmHave you checked into reloading for it?SailDesign wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 2:23 pmIt's pre1892, since the cylinder doesn't index unless cocked. 1892 was the year they fixed that.sikacz wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 1:03 pmNice piece!
