LGC BULLSEYE CLUB MATCH #21 NOW OPEN
The next LGS Bullseye Club Match (#21) opened on Sunday, March 1, 2029 and will close roughly three months later on Sunday, May 31, 2020. This will be a two-handed match shot from 50 feet. The Bullseye Club rules can be found below.
While the choice of targets within the constraints laid out in the rules is up to you, and many options are available, we have crafted some custom targets for use in these matches. Note that they are NOT official NRA targets and they should NOT be used in NRA-sanctioned events. Regardless of the targets you use, if you are printing downloaded targets, please make sure that they conform to the target norms. How do you know if the target conforms? Measure the diameters of the 4-ring on the B3 style target and the 6-ring on the B2 style target. They should measure approximately 7.3 and 8.3 inches, respectively. If they do not, check to see if your printer is scaling the PDFs before printing them. Also note that the 6 ring on the B3 style LGC targets may be slightly truncated on the right and left margins, depending on your printer. Judge for yourself if you think this is acceptable. PDFs of the LGC targets follow below.
Targets:
A NOTE TO NEWBIES: These matches are open to all and have been ongoing for several years. Anyone can enter. Scoring is on the honor system. There are no prizes but the consensus of long-term participants is that practicing for and shooting these matches improves one's skills. So GET OUT THERE AND SHOOT!

Bumping this.
If you have access to an outdoor range and you are looking for things to do while sheltering at home, why not shoot the match?

That's actually a great idea. I doubt my outdoor range is closing down, it's pretty much member managed and nobody is ever there anyway, haha. Plus I'm pretty stocked on ammo and bought more before the panic buying cleared out all the shops.

Re: LGC BULLSEYE CLUB MATCH #21 NOW OPEN
Our outdoor range closed early this week. Seems prudent, since it's a fairly busy public range and contamination of shooting stations, seating and the restroom would be potentially infectious for a couple of days at a time. But after missing the last two or three matches, I hope the range will re-open in a month or two and give me a chance to shoot.
OT: We (spousal critter, spawn and self) went out for a couple of hours of birdwatching yesterday at a public access in the Skagit delta. Atypically, we didn't try to pet peoples' dogs or offer to let them look through our spotting scope.

Looking forward to getting out of the house to do this! Game on, if the virus doesn't get me first.

I'll definitely be shooting rimfire. I'm deciding if I want to use up my 9mm ball ammo so I might not shoot center fire. stoopid ammo hoarders...

We are under a shelter in place order and so far the ranges have not been declared essential services.

All our ranges are closed until, well, who knows at this point. Sadly just as I'm gearing up to get back into shooting these.
If not this one, hopefully the next one.

Damn, with so many people getting knocked out with range closures maybe now's the time to jump in and sweep the field!

Re: LGC BULLSEYE CLUB MATCH #21 NOW OPEN
I shot rimfire yesterday. I got a personal best 101 on the rapid fire portion. :-) I'll try to get out to do center fire next week. I haven't been practicing much with the CZ75 so that might be 'interesting'.

Ugh, sorry folks- I wasn't able to make this one. Between the plague and other things, I couldn't get it together. Disappointing. Good job to the folks who found the time and made it happen, and good luck.

Re: LGC BULLSEYE CLUB MATCH #21 NOW OPEN
How does this work? Is there another Bullseye Match open? I don't have access to a range right now, but I've set up on my land and have been working on bullseye shooting. I still suck, but it's a work in progress. Might be good for me to do a match. You know, send in some crappy scores and keep doing it to watch my progress and motivate myself as I'm sort of in a social vacuum right now.

Re: LGC BULLSEYE CLUB MATCH #21 NOW OPEN
The 21st Bullseye match has come and gone. There were only three shooters. I will post the results later this week.
I am sure that the lack of participation is due in large measure to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, until things return to normal, I am suspending the Bullseye matches. With apologies to those who have shot the last few matches, it is just not worth continuing them until some sense of stability returns.
When I took this on, I did so temporarily, pending Paco's imminent return. He has not come back. I hope that he is well and otherwise engaged. Simply put, with the meager turnouts over the last year or so, I have lost my enthusiasm. If anyone would like to take over administering the matches, I would be happy to pass on the mantle.
