Hello from the Hawkeye State

Post by Freewheeling »

Hi all from the banks of the muddy Mississippi! As a former NRA member, wish I had found this organization sooner. Lifelong outdoorsy guy including huntin', fishin', and empty beverage container assassinations. (We properly dispose of them after dispatching). John

Hi from NJ! Shooting tin cans is probably a felony here in the Jughandle State!

Thx to all! Primarily shoot 45acp and 22lr. Trap and Clays on occassion. Bummer on inability to plink away at the cans. Lived in those areas during work career. Fortunate to have the ability to plink when the mood strikes.

Freewheeling, welcome from the Free State of Nevada. :welcome:

You can shoot tin cans here, but not in most of Clark County where I live. I mostly rely upon shooting ranges.

Howdy from Houston!

Around these parts you have to abide by the huntin' season, Tin, Aluminium, Plastic, etc...

Thx all for the welcome. For the record, Iowa has a year round season on beverage containers. My bummer comment was in response to to the NJ member who mentioned it might not be PC to shoot cans in his state. Iowa do have a 5 cent deposit on containers. For some reason, the recyclers won't take the dead cans. It must be lead contamination or something.

Welcome from Oregon where we just raised the deposit on cans to 10 cents so we don't shoot them much anymore. Milk jugs are still fair game.
