Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
As a previous post mentioned, I got a Mossberg 930 (composite stock model, 28" ported barrel, 4+1 capacity) over the weekend and I'm already (go figure) interested in making it better.
I'd mostly like to increase the capacity (9+1) by adding an extended magazine tube. From what I've read, Nordic Components are the bee's knees in terms of upgrades. Are they actually the, "best" or am I overlooking some smaller shops with better stuff?
In addition to the magazine tube, I'd like to outfit the 930 with a blingy-anodized bolt release and charging handle. Is there a Nordic Components equivalent for that stuff?
Any other recommends that don't include, "Get a Benelli" are appreciated.

I have or maybe had a Nordic arms charging handle in an AR. It was, well, a charging handle and not too expensive, IIRC. That's all I got.

It all depends on how much you want to spend:
- A lot of pros swear by RCI http://www.xrailbyrci.com/product/rci-x ... g-930-935/
- Taccom makes a carbon fiber one if weight is a concern: https://taccom3g.com/product-category/s ... sion-tube/
- GGG also makes Mossberg accessories https://www.gggaz.com/mossberg-930-accessories.html
- Midwest Gunworks is also a good place to look for parts https://www.midwestgunworks.com/mossber ... :model:935
- And of course Mossberg has parts for tricking out your shotgun https://www.mossberg.com/store/parts/model/930.html

I have heard good things about them. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, they don't make anything I'd want for my FN P-12.

Just saw that this morning. Brownells is a dealer for them. They have pretty much everything in inventory.321FLSurfer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 7:14 am Was looking at some of their parts for my benelli m2 but their website said they were retooling for better service a

I've got a Nordic extension on my M3000- I've had zero complaints with it. To be fair, I've yet to be hard on it though.

What capacity? Also do you run with or without the barrel clamp?

Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
Being based out of Minnesota, Nordic could just be acknowledging their ancestry without some ulterior racist motive. I haven't seen them engaging in any of the type of shit Spike's has been pulling lately but I haven't really been looking at them either. If they're being assholes though I'll continue not buying their products, but intentionally instead of passively,if I find myself with a firearm for which they make a unique-ish product.
As for Triple K, I'd suggest looking into the family that started and still runs it before you discount them for their name alone. Unless I'm misreading your meaning and you're discounting them for the quality of their product, mea culpa in that case, to which I'll add they're not the always best but for some older magazines they're either the only or the far more economical option.
To the OP, we have a number of customers who swear by Nordic's parts and I can't recall anybody who's had us install said parts that was upset with their choice.

Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
I have their MXT extension and adapter on a Browning A5 whippet style SBS. Well made part. Works exactly as described.
I also have s 930 (Walmart Special), and have been considering mods to make it “my way”.
Mine is the model with 18.5 in breacher barrel. I got a deal on the Rhino/Bobcat rails and so added them.
Option #1: Do as you are doing. Maybe add a Nordic +2 extension. Also looked at the Mesa Urbino pistol grip stock + tactical doodads.
Option #2: Go longer. Longer barrel and extension to accommodate competition. (I don’t currently compete in any way, but think about it from time to time)
Option #3: Go shorter. Register as SBS. Have barrel cut down. Theoretically the breacher barrel model lends itself to this as it is sort of “ported” at 18.5. So cutting to 14 inches shouldn’t affect performance. So say some on gun forums.
I have no (that is 0) reason for doing any of the above. But thus far have not been able to resist tampering...

I have a used +6 MXT extension tube for sale without a tube nut.

Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
Based on the measurements provided by NC, I'm leaning toward the +5 tube as that would give 9+1 or two full shell rows per reload. Aesthetically, +6 would be flush with the muzzle end.

Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
I've run 24" and 26" barrels with the extension past the barrel, it doesn't affect the extension at all. Residue does build up on the extension but it comes off easily with CLP.

Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
It's not unusual to see 3-gunners with tubes that extend 8" or more beyond the end of the barrel. It won't fit in any known case, and it's harder to maneuver in tight spaces, but otherwise doesn't seem to negatively affect running the shotgun.

Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
There may a time/place for those outrageous Paris-gun-like outfitting, but I aesthetically it's looking like the +6 is the most eye-pleasing. Please note, other than the occasional three-gun event, I'll pretty much just be busting skeet with the 930. Not reloading for a several rounds is good enough for me...heck, not having to rack a slide in between shot is damn fancy at this point with 4+1.

I don’t care if they aren’t actually Nazis, still not getting my money. Their brand makes me think of violent racists and I have to spend too much of my time thinking about those shitheads as it is. Not bringing something that makes me immediately mindful of that shit in to any part of my everyday life that I don’t have to.Darwinchip wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 12:21 pmBeing based out of Minnesota, Nordic could just be acknowledging their ancestry without some ulterior racist motive. If they want my money, they can rebrand like Mr White at WP Suspension did when he changed the name of his company 20 plus years ago because he realized White Power wasn’t the image he wanted.

Note that the gun swings differently with a fully loaded extension.atxgunguy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 3:42 pmThere may a time/place for those outrageous Paris-gun-like outfitting, but I aesthetically it's looking like the +6 is the most eye-pleasing. Re: Shotgun Accessories - Nordic Components?
I've got the 8 round version, no barrel clamp. Comes about a single shell short of the barrel length, so total of 8 +1. A number of folks used it this year at the CA Meet in the Middle 3 gun training event.
