TFB: Shooting the worst shotgun - Cobray Terminator

The Sterling SMG open bolt is a traditional open bolt design. The bolt is locked to the rear and pulling the trigger releases the bolt forward and fixed firing pin at the end of the bolt is what sets off the round. In the Cobray Terminator there is no bolt. The receiver end cap houses the fixed firing pin. So when you chamber a 12 ga shell and pull the trigger, the entire barrel travels rearwards pushing the shell back into the firing pin. This adds additional force to the recoil of the gun making it worse to shoot than standard single shot shotgun.

Interesting shotgun, good review. It's crudely built, I first thought that it may have been a spy weapon like the WWII Welrod, so I checked Ian's video to get the history and it's 1980s vintage.

Not as fancy with a trigger and all but the same idea.
I've seen one of those in action. Brought to you by the same people who I also witnessed make a mortal out of a hibachi and large tin of cream of mushroom soup. Andrews AFB in the early 90s was a weird time.

Those are some absolutely terrible weapons designs. FFS that could have been put together in the 1800's, but they would have rejected it for being stupid. "What does this lightweight 12 gauge need??? Hmm.... MORE RECOIL!!"

My objection to firearms like the "ladies home companion" is that they are ugly, 8 pounds and in 45-70 .. I mean.. it's actually more a "Mean Biker Mama's trailer companion" A proper "lady" would have a 45-70 pistol that had a little elegance.. seriously people, have you ever tried to match and accessorize something that is parkerized? much less spray painted a flat black? what, what would you wear with it?... a Franklin Stove on a logging chain?
"Class" is available on the market, and in 45-70, if you must, http://www.magnumresearch.com/BFR-Stainless.asp 7.5 inch barrel and fluted cylinders with the white polymer grips in a nice tasteful stainless steel.. classic elegance and in 30-30 very traditional.. so easy to accessorize.. goes well with pearls but also looks right with Silver and Turquoise .. if you prefer the 45-70 then balance it with some chunky old pawn squash blossom and a nice cross chest rig .. worn a little low it would be very slimming.

What? How'd that happen?
I referred to Gunbroker as a den of liars and thieves in the S&W forum. Got banned from both places with one post

The truth hurts. I've known too many people who got burned on Gunbroker to ever want to try it.
