I have been having ejection problems with my beloved A5 Browning. I tried all the normal stuff. Clean, light wipe with 30 weight motor oil on magazine tube, new bronze bushing and ring. Still gave me problems, but not as bad. I finally decided to spend the whole $20 at Numrich for a recoil and main spring.
As you can see, the difference between. Old and new is greater than I would have thought. The old has really relaxed over 50 years..
Now, as for Gold. I wanted to try something and it worked great. How long it will stay on O
I dont know but it doesnt harm the finish
I bought a bottle of Liquid Leaf Gold, brushed over engravings and used a slightly dampened tightly folded paper towel to wipe off the excess.
I followed up with some carnauba was I have for guitars. I also waxed the wood while I was at it.
Looks great actually.
