Court rejects Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue's attempts to disenfranchise Georgia voters

Hooray.
The 11th Circuit court rejected attempts by Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and David Perdue (R-GA) to disenfranchise Georgia voters when the state has already gone to the polls.

According to Democratic elections attorney Marc Elias, the court rejected the case, Sunday that sued Republican Secretary of State Raffensperger. The claim concerns the signature-matching process for absentee ballots.

The decision says that the "campaigns alleged that certain counties have a 'disproportionately and unprecedentedly low number of absentee ballots that are rejected,' which they say may be a result of their signature matching process. They claim this leads to absentee ballots that should be rejected being counted, resulting in the dilution of valid votes."

The judge in the case explained that the campaigns "have failed to make a strong showing that they have standing to bring their constitutional claims because they have failed to demonstrate that any alleged injury is traceable to, and redressable by, the State. Accordingly, the Campaigns' emergency motion for a stay or injunction pending appeal is DENIED."

Meanwhile Guiliani has filed ANOTHER petition to the SCOTUS, this time to overturn the PA Supreme Court's 3 decisions on mail-in ballots.

But he's got a little problem: The SCOTUS isn't meeting, even virtually, until Jan 8...and Congress counts the EC votes on Jan 6...

It's possible a couple of loons in the House and Senate (Buck and Tuberville) will object, but it cannot change the outcome as BOTH Houses must agree to the objection. The House won't and McConnell is VERY likely to push his caucus to deny it--it won't take many Republicans to join the 48 Dems--just 2 will be enough for a majority--since there will only be 98 Senators. Plus, since it WON'T make a difference, McConnell will push for "normalcy" rather than looking like fools, and will say "It won't change the outcome, let's move on".

Romney will certainly vote with the Dems--both because I believe he believes it's over and he DETESTS Trump. Susan Collins? Maybe. Lisa Murkowski? Maybe. McConnell? Maybe. And there are several others.

It's highly unlikely the Georgia vote count will be complete, meaning neither Perdue nor Loeffler will have been re-elected and since their terms end Jan 3, they will be either, temporarily, or, hopefully, permanently, out of office. So, until the vote is complete, Georgia won't have Senate representation. Therefore, 2 less Republicans.
