Authorities in Arizona responded to a "Mass Casualty Incident" on Saturday.

"Police say six people were seriously injured after they were run over by a truck driver in Show Low Saturday morning," ABC 15 reports. "Show Low police say a black Ford F-150 truck struck several bicyclists in front of the Horne Auto Collision Center during the Bike the Bluff event this morning."

Police say the suspect, a 35-year-old white man, fled the scene, but was later shot and apprehended by police.

"Six people were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Four are in critical condition and two are critical but in stable condition," the network reported. "Police said two others were injured in the crash and went to the local hospital as walk-ins."

The suspect is reportedly in "critical but stable condition."

Well it is time to pass a law prohibiting the ownership and use of Ford F-150s. :sarcasm:

No need to ban Ferd's F-150 Assault Truck, just write some more laws to change it from being an "Assault Truck", by limiting it's top speed to 10 MPH, and require it's tires to have fins attached so they aren't so scary, that ought to do it (as that's how we handle things here in the land of fruits and nuts, the People's Republik of Kalifornia LOL)!

Seriously, best regards to all the injured (excepting the driver)...

That actually sounds like something the PRK would enact into law.

Hope everyone recovers including the perp who I hope spends many years in prison for attempted murder. It was a fund raiser for IIRC a Christian school in the area, don't know if the perp was targeting the school.

I wonder if it was some sort of 'terrorist' attack via motor vehicle rather than a gun. Hopefully they'l get some answers since the guy survived.

Terrorist attack? In a way, maybe, yes. Lots of people don't like bicyclists. Don't think they should be on "their" road. I used to ride a lot and it's common among cyclists that some people will threaten you with their vehicle or otherwise scare you. They honk horns, come up behind you and slam their brakes on, throw stuff, yell, threaten.

The usual crap.

Some bicyclists are annoying, some dangerous. Groups are often problematic. Shouldn't hit them with your vehicle though.
