Trump leaves NATO meeting early after being mock by other leaders.

A group of world leaders were caught on camera mocking President Donald Trump at a NATO reception at Buckingham Palace Tuesday evening. Among them, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson. At times Trump has bragged about having a great relationship with all three, and frequently erroneously claims, “America is respected again.”

The short clip, posted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to Twitter, shows Prime Minister Johnson asking, “Is that why you were late?”

“He was late because he takes a 40 minute press conference off the top,” Prime Minister Trudeau says.

President Trump held a nearly hour-long press conference and was late for several events Tuesday.

Trudeau was not finished chastising the American president.

“You just watched his team’s jaws drop to the floor,” Trudeau told his peers, apparently referring to President Trump’s staff’s responses to his press conference in which he attacked House Democrats while on foreign soil.

Earlier in the day Trump had trash-talked both Canada and France in front of reporters.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday lashed out at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was caught on video mocking the president along with other world leaders at the NATO summit in London.

When asked about the video, Trump called Trudeau “two-faced” and suggested that the Canadian PM was simply upset because Trump publicly called him out for not spending enough money on the military.

Directly after referring to Trudeau as “two-faced,” the president added that he believed Trudeau was also “a nice guy.”

“The fact is, I called him out for the fact that he’s not paying two percent [of GDP on defense spending],” Trump said. “And I guess he’s not very happy about it.”

A viral video posted online showed Trudeau ridiculing Trump for his lengthy press conferences alongside French President Emanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Trump did have an unannounced meeting with Erdogan.
President Donald Trump held an undisclosed meeting Wednesday with Turkish President Recep Erdogan during this week’s NATO summit. While Turkey is a member nation of NATO, President Erdogan is widely seen as a dictator for whom President Trump holds a special fondness.

The meeting had not appeared on President Trump’s official schedule, nor did the White House announce it later, until the Turkish government posted a photo of the two leaders in a tweet.

After the photo was released the White House put out a statement saying Trump met with Erdogan to remind him of “the importance of Turkey fulfilling its alliance commitments.”

Trump met with Erdogan at the White House last month.

The Hill reports White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley, while confirming the meeting, “did not describe the meeting either as a full bilateral meeting or a pull-aside at the summit, nor did he confirm reports that the meeting lasted a half hour.”

“Pull-asides,” when two or more leaders casually chat on the sidelines, are not uncommon during summits like NATO. This meeting did not appear to be one.

This is far from the first time a foreign power has been the first to reveal Trump met with their top leaders. For example, in May of 2017 President Trump secretly met with the then the Ambassador of Russia to the United States, Sergey Kislyak, in the Oval Office. Kislyak is seen by U.S. Intelligence as a top spy and spy recruiter.

During that now infamous meeting Trump disclosed classified information, leading to an international scandal. The White House had barred all U.S. reporters from the meeting but a photographer for Tass, the official Russian news agency, was present. Tass later published the photos.

Although the 29-member bloc's future is not in doubt, there are disagreements over Turkey's recent military action in northern Syria; the levels of military spending by members; and recent comments by Mr Macron that the alliance is "brain dead".

But his first day turned out to encompass one embarrassment after another, with multiple world leaders openly sparring with him and appearing to mock him behind his back — suggesting that nobody is bothering to take him seriously anymore.

LA Times article title "U.S. allies, tired of flattering Trump, now mock him"
President Trump, who views norms like a teenager does curfews, shattered another tradition Wednesday when he became the first U.S. president to be laughed at by some of America’s closest allies at a NATO summit, a sign of his increasing isolation on the world stage.
During joint appearances over the last three years, world leaders have largely stood silently and patiently while Trump lavished praise on his self-described achievements and bitterly attacked his perceived enemies. On Tuesday, Trump vented with reporters about impeachment, Democrats and other vexations for more than two hours during his supposed private meetings with other leaders.

“He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top,” Trudeau can be heard saying.
Johnson [BoJo], who cast himself as a disruptive Trumpian figure, sought to avoid a public meeting with Trump, who is deeply unpopular in Britain. The prime minister’s conservative allies worried Trump’s embrace could damage Johnson ahead of crucial parliamentary elections next week. The two leaders met one-on-one Tuesday night outside the view of the press. But the meeting was kept off Trump’s schedule and not revealed until Trump tweeted about it Wednesday morning.

That may have contributed to Johnson’s apparent annoyance when Trump kept all the other leaders waiting 15 minutes for a group photo.

“How are we doing?” Johnson asked an aide. “Come on!”

My big fear is that his 2nd term goal of leaving NATO might be moved up a bit. He is already pulling some funding.

Or, one of his buddies might cause a crisis that allows him to ignore Article V. Of course, his cultists are arguing for triggering Article V if he is impeached... so there's that.

No, Mr. President, impeachment doesn’t trigger NATO Article 5

When you see the PMs of Germany, Canada, Netherlands, the President of France, and Princess Anne are all stunned that such a boorish, ignorant, selfish, and lying thug could have ever been elected President of the most powerful nation on earth. And I think they are all realize that, for once, Trump is right, but for the wrong reasons. Yes, they all need to contribute far more to NATO, but they also must beef up their individual and joint defense efforts and plan going forward for NATO defense sans the USA as long as Trump is President.

When they laughed at his ignorant lying boasts at the UN, he thought they were laughing WITH him, not at him!

But even HIS limited twisted brain couldn't unsee Macron,Trudeau, BoJo, Rutte, and Princess Anne laughing at him for the blowhard buffoon that he is! Trudeau tried to soften it, but I think that all 5 should just shut up about it and let it play! It would have been even better if Merkel and Conte had been part of it--really point out JUST how little the major leaders of Europe think of him!

Just goes to prove that Trump is right - he's the only one who gets it. He and his supporters are MAGA and it would stand to reason all the other Commie Nations Leaders would belittle him. They are all ignorant fakers anyway. Who cares what they think? :sarcasm:

He never made the rich man's A List and appears he won't make it as president in the world. It has to burn him terribly and I expect he will act out in detriment to the nation just to assuage his bruised ego. Bloomberg hit the mark in his comments, I paraphrase, "that Trump has never learned that he leads a nation not his own interest". Such a boorish ass wipe and that will be his history.
"He does not seem to understand that he is an elected official whose job it is to work for the public rather than for himself," Bloomberg said.
