New rifle, 22LR...there seems to be some 'play' between the barrel/trigger assembly and stock..Floating barrel and the two bolts are tight.
Is this 'normal'?..I think it is for this $400 rifle. Shoots accurately, BTW.
Re: 'Play' in new Ruger American Rimfire
3Wouldn't bedding it help?

4Not sure what that means..BUT son came over and by tightening the two bolts "selectively", got the stock tight. Floating barrel.
BUT good CS by Ruger, once again.
Unfortunately I have had 3 instances of 'poor performance' of 3 Ruger guns..10/22 that was a jam-o-matic(fail to feed, fail to eject, stovepipes)..and NO amount of stuff, like a new extractor from Volquartson, fixed it..a broken spent shell rod on a Wrangler and then this..Yup, not expensive guns..

5Commonly refered to as glass bedding, a way to custom fit stock to action/barrel.F4FEver wrote: Thu Mar 23, 2023 8:18 amNot sure what that means..BUT son came over and by tightening the two bolts "selectively", got the stock tight. Floating barrel.
