And in California, you need a CA DOJ Dangerous Weapons Permit for a NFA stamp items which requires "good cause." So only the very rich and politically connected in California will be able to purchase a 10/22.

In ATF terminology it's a federal firearms license but in CA terminology it's a dangerous weapons permit, CA law and regs hype the fear factor. Vehicle dealers should also have a dangerous weapons permit, a motor vehicle is a lethal weapon.

If they don't get this passed, I can see them go to the Texas Repug model for abortion control, civil suits and a bounty, and do the same for gun stores and gun owners.
