I promise I'll be doing some google searches as well.
Just wondering if anyone goes hog hunting with their 300 blk Rifle/Pistol and what ammo they like to use.
Re: .300 Blk Hog Hunting
2Down on Abaco, Bahamas, wild pigs are hunted with shotguns. A friend took 4 hogs last weekend there. Pretty sure he used buck shot. Hand guns are banned, and rifles are VERY expensive to own--a $300 annual registration fee. Shot guns have a $150 fee/gun.

3One of the instructors in my wife's college division hunts with a bow and arrows and gets the hog. He does carry a backup gun but has never had to use it.

4Shot placement, hunter skill, and the size of the hog is probably important no matter what is used.

5.300 blackout is good for little piggies, but you'll want something bigger for the big beasties. Where are you hunting? Suppressor or none?

6Just be aware that if you use subsonic ammo, you reduce the energy down to the level of .45 ACP. It’s gonna be like hunting a hog with a 1911, which is not a great idea.
Glad that federal government is boring again.

7I would prefer a rifle, myself. 7.62x54R or 7.62x39 is what I have. Of course, that's just me. Lots of good calibers for that.
Some states might frown on certain hunting methods. I don't know where you are located.
