Hello from TN!

Hello everyone! My wife and I are a couple of blue dots in eastern TN, recently retired from the Military (me USAF, her Navy).

Just recently came back into the firearms hobby world after a long, long absence. First got into shooting as a teen, owned a couple really nice rifles (I wish I still had!)--a Remington 700 ADL/30-06, and a Winchester 9422M.

We currently own a Taurus G2C and a Marlin XT22 w/a Cabelas 3-9/40 scope. Just ordered a Remington 783 Black Walnut/scope package in .308, should be at my dealer's early this coming week.

Selfishly perhaps, I'll probably tend to be more in the "receive" mode vs "contribute" mode for a bit as we get reacquainted with the hobby.

Thanks for the acceptance to the forum!

Welcome!

How do you like the Taurus and Marlin? Make sure to gloat here when you receive that beautiful 308 so we can be green with envy.

Thanks!! We're impressed with both. We hemmed on hawed a bit on the Taurus, seems like folks don't feel much in the middle of the road on them. Compact, comfortable, seems really well-made. I'll know more when we've had it for a while.

The Marlin's a really nice little plinking rifle. I decided to add an inexpensive scope just, well, because, LOL. But it makes for a pretty sweet little package, and for me anyways, the affordability of 22LR makes a great choice for range time, which, sadly, I sorely need.

Great! Can't wait to hear about the 308. I have been looking at the Remington 783 for a while now.

I like my Taurus... all of 'em! :D

Sometimes we have all four in the same week, LOL! Small world--my daughter lives in Cypress!
Four in the same week here, too. :)
