IWB holster for a 1911 (5")?

I know, I know...a fullsize 1911 is not a great choice for concealed carry. But it is what I have until I can scrape the pennies together to buy something different/better.

This is the gun: https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/p ... del-sw1911

I've read that something as big and heavy as a fullsize 1911, a wider 2 clip holster works a bit better. What I'm undecided on is something that has an attached mag pouch, or just worry about the gun?

I was looking at the VersaCarry and Alien Gear brands of holsters:

Here is the Alien Gear:

I know that there is a lot of personal preference and fit with holsters, but wanted to know if anyone has experience with either of these 2 and is there a general opinion around gun holster only, or holster + mag?

Thanks!

My EDC is an MC Operator with an Inforce APL. While I have not tried the ones above, I have friends who utilize the Alien Gear with a 1911 and have really enjoyed it. The closest thing I've had to it are Crossbreed Supertuck holsters, which are similar in style and super comfortable. The AG holsters have the benefit of the muzzle being covered so it doesn't wear holes in your pants like the Supertuck does.

I typically don't carry a magazine on my strong side with my holster but keep a paddle holster with two mags on the weak side.

Most people who EDC typically buy holsters, find what works/doesn't, and end up with a drawer full of holsters. It's just a part of the process.
