Red's in Pflugerville was okay. Decent people, usable range. I haven't been there in a couple of years (I'm in PA now) so I don't know what their stock looks like right now.

I never went to the one near Campus, they struck me as high end.

I'd avoid the guy on Parmer Lane, he struck me as a total Mall Ninja type. He also wanted to offer pennies on the dollar for trade ins. YMMV.

When I lived in the Austin area (Georgetown) a decade or so ago, I would occasionally go out to Eagle Peak Shooting Range; nice facility, but the rangemaster (at the time) was loud and unpleasant - no discrimination that I could tell, though, as he yelled at everybody, no matter what their ethnicity, race, orientation, or political beliefs may have been.
