I was window shopping ar furniture and found a stock I really like, but then I looked up the stats and it has an insane lop of 10.5 .
I have heard that some folks in three gun run short stocks.
What's the verdict on these micro stocks?
Re: Shooting short stocked rifles
2probably just the thing for close quarters.
i'm retired. what's your excuse?
Re: Shooting short stocked rifles
3If you shoot standing, shoulders squared to the target, a short LOP might be just the thing.
If you're used to a regular, longer LOP, recoil can stick your own thumb up your nose. 12" is too short for me, and I'm not tall.
Scope eye might also be a concern.

Re: Shooting short stocked rifles
4Stocks that short are for when you are wearing armor. A telescoping stock is a good thing, if legal where you are. I need a longer stock when prone, than when in other positions. I like either of those made by MagPul, the UBR v1 or v2.
