Yeah let me know if you figure that one out...rockhound wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 9:12 pm Damn, that salad looks good! I started some hybrid Bahamian Goat x Yellow Congo seeds in March, now I just need to figure out how to get some lobster seeds to germinate...
It was mostly accidental. Back in January the S.O. and I were looking for a couple of new varieties to add to the flock this year and she and I really like Lemon Habaneros. I started out looking for Yellow Congo seeds and found a vendor in Canada that had the Yellow Congo/Goat hybrid.kronkmusic wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 9:15 pmYeah let me know if you figure that one out...rockhound wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 9:12 pm Damn, that salad looks good! By the way, how'd you hear about goat peppers? Most people don't even know they're a thing and they're one of my favorite peppers ever.
That's absurd.CDFingers wrote:I hereby imbue that salad with meaning.

Nice! Good luck with your goat pepper hybrids, goat peppers are delicious! Think of a sweeter, more flavorful scotch bonnet but with all the same heat. Curious to know what the hybrids are like.rockhound wrote:It was mostly accidental. They also had a Chiltepin/Aji Limon hybrid (we're big fans of both) so we decided to order from them. We've had a really good germination rate on both seed packets, though we won't know until autumn (at the earliest) how the hybrids turn out. Because of the early winters in MN, we do container gardening with the peppers so we can overwinter the plants indoors.
